Miss Pink's WildflowersFrom the Olive Pink Collection

'I “ worship” trees and flowers. And especially the “gallant” ones of the arid regions of Australia'

Olive Muriel Pink

Our Miss Pink's Wildflowers digital exhibition showcases a selection of the unique watercolour and pencil sketches of Central Australia arid lands' flora by Olive Pink (1884-1975).

The sketches, created  between 1930 and 1960, are part of the Olive Pink Collection donated to the University of Tasmania Library Special and Rare Collections by Olive Pink and her family.

This online exhibit is an adaption of the original Miss Pink's Wildflowers exhibition mounted in the foyer window of the Morris Miller Library at the Sandy Bay campus of the University of Tasmania. It ran from May until August 2004
