Dr Jane Goodall inspired me to become a field biologist with her unwavering fortitude and passion to study animals in their native habitats. She overcame hurdles like lack of university degrees, sexism, and staggering physical challenges while living in untamed jungles. She is a world-renowned scientist, humanitarian, conservationist and UN Messenger of Peace - all while retaining grace, humility and inner strength. Her words today are a clarion call to encourage young people to conserve the natural world we all share. "Only if we understand, will we care. Only if we care, will we help. Only if we help shall all be saved."
